Rural Society - Washington DC
I was very excited to try Jose Garces' new restaurant, Rural Society, in the Loews Hotel. One thing DC really lacks is a plethora of restaurants that serve brunch on Saturday. I attend church every Sunday so my only consistent brunching time is Saturday and there's a dearth of options. So few, in fact, that I've begun keeping a list in my iphone whenever I run across places that serve brunch on Saturday or after 2:30pm on Sunday. Luckily for me, Rural Society serves, well, breakfast, until 11:00 AM, so my hubby and I snuck in right before their menu changed to lunch!
Delicious, crisp and chewy waffles with caramel sauce and spiced whipped cream.
